October 2019

This year has been a very busy one. It started off with a talk at HMD in Bristol, which gave me an opportunity to meet up with members of the Knill family, whom I hadn’t seen for many, many years. Some of the highlights have been speaking at Leeds University, at Calderdale College, Sheffield University, Trinity University, and several times to the National Holocaust Museum. It is always satisfying to be invited back to schools on a regular basis and I have visited Bowlands School for several years, always receiving a warm welcome from teachers and students alike.

I have been interviewed by the BBC and the Yorkshire Evening Post and Fulwell 73 productions filmed me for a full day last month for a programme which will be televised on Channel 4 sometime in the New Year.

The Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre has been open at the University of Huddersfield for a year now and I have spoken on their behalf several times. My story features in the exhibition there, together with some of my artefacts. Do come and visit if you can.

This year hasn’t yet finished and I will be talking at several more schools before the Christmas break. Look on the events page for more details.
